1. Create NHV BOOT USB with Rufus
⚠️ Important note before starting:
- Hardware requirements: Prepare a USB drive with a minimum capacity of 4GB
- Data safety: Please backup all data on the USB to another location, as this process will Format (wipe) all old data
Procedure: We will use Rufus to create the Boot partition first, then use Partition Wizard to create a separate data partition (USB-DATA)
Start: Open Rufus, in the Boot selection section click SELECT and choose the NHV-BOOT.iso file
Configure Rufus as follows:
- Device: Select the correct USB drive
- Boot selection: Select the downloaded NHV-BOOT.iso file
- Partition scheme: Select MBR
- Target system: Select BIOS or UEFI
- File system: Select FAT32 (Default)

Note: Since the Boot partition must be formatted as FAT32 for UEFI compatibility, it cannot store files larger than 4GB. Therefore, after creating the Boot partition, we need to use Partition Wizard to split and create an additional USB-DATA (NTFS) partition for storing large files
Next step: Open MiniTool Partition Wizard, right-click on the newly created USB partition, and select Move/Resize to start resizing

Thus, the process of creating the NHV BOOT USB is complete At this point, your USB possesses a standard structure with 2 separate partitions: NHV BOOT (FAT32) for compatibility with both UEFI/Legacy standards and USB-DATA (NTFS) for storing large files.
2. Create Boot without Data Loss using BOOTICE & Partition Wizard
This is the optimal method for those using portable hard drives (HDD/SSD Box) or USB drives containing important data that you do not want to Format
Implementation Procedure:
- Step 1: Use Partition Wizard to check and convert the drive standard to MBR
- Step 2: Split into 2 partitions: BOOT partition (FAT32, 4GB) and DATA partition (NTFS)
- Step 3: Set Active for the BOOT partition to enable boot capability
- Step 4: Use BOOTICE to install the bootloader (MBR) to help the computer recognize the boot file

Next, Mount the NHV-BOOT.iso file to a virtual drive (or extract it using WinRAR/7-Zip). Then, proceed to copy all data inside the ISO file to the NHV BOOT partition (FAT32)

Next, open the BOOTICE tool to install the boot code (MBR) for the USB BOOT partition following the instructions below

Thus, nhvboot.com has provided a detailed guide on creating a UEFI/Legacy standard rescue USB/HDD Boot. Now, you possess a powerful tool to handle any computer issues.
